“However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NIV)
COVID-19 has changed the world. Everyone’s life has been affected by it in some way or another, and as I’m sure you would agree, there have been both positives and negatives come out of this pandemic. I was talking to my uncle this weekend and he said his business has dropped 70%. I was talking with my colleague at work and she loves the fact that she hasn’t had the pressure to socialise with her friends on the weekends. This virus has affected people differently, but it has affected everyone. One thing this time of uncertainty, rest and isolation has given to us is the chance to reset. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been thinking deeply about my life and what I want it to look like post-COVID. Do I want it to go back to how it was pre-COVID? Not really. My life felt hectic because I was busy all the time. Someone that I was talking to the other day said, “In my next life, I’d like to be a nurse”. I looked at her and said, “You’ve only got one life! You’ve still got time to make your dreams a reality!”. As 1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us, we can’t even fathom the amazing things that God has prepared for us. Are you living your best life? Or are you settling for something ordinary? This time is the perfect time to reset. What do you want to get better at? What should you invest more time in? Who do you need to spend more time with? Who do you need to spend less time with? What do you need to say no to? What do you need to say yes to? What should you start doing differently? What is your passion? God didn’t create you to live a mediocre life. He created you to live an extraordinary life full of His presence, peace and protection. It’s time to reset.
